Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor

Location:Hook - This role entails approximately 50% travel

Salary: Up to £50,000

As a global FTSE 250 company with over 500 contracts across 20 countries we rely on the work of our Global Internal Audit team to provide an independent and objective assessment of the design and operating effectiveness of financial and operational processes and controls across the organisation. As a member of the Global Internal Audit (GIA) team you will work on a broad range of internal audit reviews across Serco's operations and work constructively with management to identify recommendations that will drive positive incremental changes across all aspects of our operations . We are looking for an ambitious candidate who thrives in an environment of change and can contribute more broadly to GIA as we build on the function's solid foundations and move towards our goal of being 'best practice' for an organisation of our size and complexity.

What you'll need to do the role

Firstly, you'll need knowledge of audit procedures, including risk-based planning techniques and methods used to examine, verify and analyse business and financial operations, information, records, statements and reports. You'll be studying for or already qualified in professional accountancy and/or internal auditing qualification (e.g. CIA). You'll have a good grasp of the principles, procedures and techniques of accounting, and of financial records and transactions. Previous use or experience of audit management software and/or data analytics tools would be advantageous. Lastly, you'll have the ability to gather, analyse, and evaluate facts and prepare and present concise oral and written reports.
