PTA 6 Salary range $117,580 - $132,232 pa (plus 9.50% super)

About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Payroll professional to join our highly regarded organisation.

Reporting to the Manager HR Shared Services, you will be responsible for leading and managing the CFA Payroll function and services - ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of employment and pay related services to all staff across the employment lifecycle. You will drive continuous improvement of payroll practices with a focus on legislative compliance and regulatory requirements. You will work with the team to foster a customer focussed culture and establish practices and leverage technology to provide exceptional service outcomes.

Further detailed responsibilities will include:

• Lead continuous improvement of payroll practices to drive efficiencies for the team and support our team members' ability to interact with our systems in a simple and effective manner.

• Research, analyse and investigate difficult and/or complex cases and provide expert advice to team members in resolving these matters.

• Provide authoritative subject matter expertise, advice and query support to management and staff in relation to pay related policy and services.

• Ensure appropriate systems are in place to maintain data integrity and security of payroll information.

• Respond to internal and external audit inquiries as well as responding to legislative compliance requirements and requests.

• Serve as a point of contact between internal and external stakeholders on all payroll inquiries

• Management and oversight of the end of financial year processes, including HR System Tax Upgrades and the reconciliation and preparation of employee payment summaries and taxation returns.

About You:

You are a high performing leader with demonstrated experience managing a payroll function to deliver a compliance based and customer-oriented payroll function. You will possess strong overall technical expertise as well as demonstrated ability to provide clear and relevant advice in the areas of payroll, systems and remuneration and interpretation of legislation and awards. Proven leadership capability with strong coaching and mentoring skills are a requirement as is a strong customer and a continuous improvement focus.
