The Role:

We are currently seeking an eager and capable Full Time Accounts Assistant to provide accurate and timely support to our expanding finance team, focusing on restaurant accounts management. Based in Surry Hills and reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role is ideal for an individual with accounting or finance qualifications who is keen to progress their career with a high achieving, fast paced finance team.

Your duties would include, but not be limited to:
  • Accurate review of weekly supplier invoices and credits from restaurants
  • Regularly updating Financial systems and information
  • Effective completion of fortnightly payables for restaurant operations
  • Actively engaging in supplier relationship and financial management
  • Ensuring restaurants maintain stock at sufficient levels to ensure all products are available at all times
  • Actively contribute to the strategic thinking on customer related systems, policies and procedures
  • Analyse and report on Restaurant financial performance as required
  • Ensure plans are executed in order to achieve and continuously improve restaurant financial performance

To be successful in this role, you should have/be:

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Accounting or Financial qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role

General Skills and Abilities
  • Proven experience with Netsuite or similar accounting software (preferred)
  • High level of communications skills including excellent command of English
  • High level of attention to detail and sound time management skills
  • Strong computer/IT acumen including the ability to use Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Self-motivated, high level of initiative and strong work ethics
  • A team player with a pleasant disposition and a can-do attitude
  • Ability to compile written operational and financial reports
  • Ability to promote workplace culture and to display energy and enthusiasm for the brand
  • Ability to understand, analyse, interpret and explain financial performance

Salary range - $60k to $70k
