Credit Analyst - Asset Finance company - Berkshire - Up to £35K
Client Details
My client is a market leader in asset finance/leasing.
Description
Main responsibilities:
- Respond to queries/issues quickly and professionally (i.e unpaid debits)
- Maintain and control processes for high risk clients
- Arrange collection of assets and ensure the client is wound down correctly in the event of their account being terminated due to planned/hostile events.
- Actively assist the Credit manager with the underwriting and setting up of new clients, liaising with colleagues and attending relevant meetings.
- Ensure you're commercially aware of all things effecting the department and be involved in various projects.
- Take full ownership of your client accounts ensuring all actions are recorded and communication is up to date (carrying out annual risk assessment of creditworthiness based on financial analysis of statutory accounts, highlighting potential risks to senior management etc)
- Recommend appropriate actions to improve the company's risk grading
- Ensure all lending reviews are submitted within agreed timescales
- Liaise with solicitors to ensure legal contracts and security are completed in a timely and efficient manner
Profile
Key skills/experience required:
- At least 2 years previous experience underwriting within an asset finance/leasing environment
- Able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of lending principles and underwriting methodology
- Ability to read and interpret financial accounts and confidently bring together a number of sources of information to make assessments of business performance
- Can confidently make balanced decisions in the face of a challenge whilst ensuring customer satisfaction is a priority
- Comfortable addressing sensitive and confidential issues with clients
- Strong numeracy skills
- Comfortable working under pressure
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Financial services/leasing background is essential
