The Electro Rent UK group is a privately owned business which includes former Group Microlease, Livingston and Electrorent. As a result, we have become the experts in Test Equipment management and have evolved into a global organisation with offices across Europe, the US, and Asia, supplying equipment to all the major names in the industry. As a result of the launch of the fully integrated ERP a fantastic opportunity was created for a strong billing specialist looking for its new opportunity to join a team to complete re-design and make an impact on the accounts receivables position. The position comes with fantastic opportunity to enhance your system knowledge in D365 for the right person with the right attitude and enthusiasm. The candidate is expected to hit the ground running and while assistance on D365 will be provided we do not expect extensive training to be required.

The opportunity is playing a key role in understanding and re-mapping collection management in our European business, working alongside a team to ensure a Global system with capabilities across the full region is delivered at a high quality.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor accounts on a daily basis
  • Identify outstanding account receivables
  • Investigate historical data for debts and bills
  • Take actions in order to encourage timely payments
  • Resolve billing issues
  • Resolve customer credit issues
  • Contact clients and discuss their overdue payments
  • Update account status records 
  • Prepare and present reports on collection activities and progress
  • Understand and work within current processes as well as be able to map and suggest improvements to drive better results on a continuous basis
  • Ability to suggest and implement new techniques

Skills and experience:

  • Proven experience as a Collection Specialist or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of billing procedures
  • Knowledge of various collection techniques
  • Contact clients and discuss their overdue payments
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and databases, advanced EXCEL is a must
  • Comfortable working with challenging targets
  • Knowledge of collection laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • High school diploma
  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • Persuasive and effective influencing skills;
  • Good presentation skills;
  • Self-motivated;
  • Excellent written and communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Proactive
  • Problem solving skills
  • Any of the above European languages is a plus;

Education and qualification:

  • Accounting degree or equivalent
  • AR qualification

Job Location: Harrow Wealden / currently working from home indefinitely
