Description

The Responsibilities:

  • Own the pension reporting process, working closely with UK Planning and Corporate Control
  • Prepare, execute, review and report management cross charges periodically, inc. performance of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Responsibility for UK rent, rates & insurance accounting processes, to include forecasting and reporting, and supervision of activities performed by shared service centre
  • Drive efficiencies in the shared service centre process including performance of reconciliations
  • Ownership of intra-UK intercompany reporting processes for company entities
  • Execute changes to the Oracle GL chart of accounts, ensuring efficient and appropriate use of account dimensions and consistency with Hyperion Financial Management
  • Execute and review journals as required
  • Prepare and review periodic balance sheet reconciliations
  • Drive continuous improvements in Financial Reporting processes, including minimising manual journals by automation, appropriate review controls, etc.
  • Support on ad-hoc projects across financial control and the wider business as required

Profile

The Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA (Fully Qualified)
  • Experience of working in major accountancy firm and/or an FMCG / Blue Chip organisation (preferred)
  • US GAAP (preferred)
  • IFRS (preferred)
  • Oracle (preferred)
  • Hyperion HFM (preferred)
  • PowerPoint and presentation experience
  • Strong academic background
  • Good collaborator and influencer
  • Experience of working cross functionally and/or in virtual teams
  • Well organised, self-sufficient and proactive, able to prioritise may competing priorities
  • Strong communicator
  • Can-do, flexible attitude with resilience
  • Attention to detail
