In view of heightened expectations from regulators and to ensure a strong and consistent global control environment, the Citi Treasury continues to enhance its Governance, Risk and Controls Framework in order to minimize operational risk within the business. The position sits within the EMEA Citi Treasury team and is based in London.

  • Assist in ensuring LIBOR Submission process continues to maintain strong Governance and controls environment.
  • Assist and support Citi Corporate Treasury and County Treasurers to ensure effective MCA Governance, Risk and Control framework across EMEA Regional Finance Treasury.
  • Facilitate and co-ordinate Citi Treasury teams for Annual & Quarterly Risk Assessment.
  • Assist in ongoing review of existing team controls capabilities with the development and/or enhancement so as to ensure consistency across Ireland, Germany and UK Legal Vehicles Liquidity Regulatory Reporting oversight process
  • Track teams compliance to various policies like mandatory absences, employee trading policy, Record Management, Continuity of Business and ongoing mandatory team training.
  • Track and coordinate the EMEA Country Treasurer assessment units timely completion of any new MCA Risk and Control requirements including monitoring of any DQ mapping issues.
  • Consolidation of control monitoring quarterly results of EMEA Country Treasurer assessment units for EMEA Regional Treasurer reviews.
  • Help develop innovative analysis to ensure Senior reviews have regular updates on management of risks and issues.
  • Interacting with Audit and other Control groups to report on our control environment and investigate control failures.
  • Collate monthly KRI's/Metrics for various Risk and Control forums.

  • English language at proficient level both written and oral.
  • Experience in working within a risk, control, compliance, legal or audit function
  • Strong control, compliance, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders across multiple businesses, regions and support functions.

  • Strong and proven analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle tight deadlines and multi-task; ability to work under pressure and to prioritise and guide the team on a diverse set of objectives
  • Control focused with the ability and desire to see the "bigger picture", prioritise, put things into perspective and have the ability to draw conclusions and make decisions based on complex issues.

  • Advanced degree preferred in accounting, risk, finance or business disciplines.
  • Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable communicating across teams and geographies, taking into account cultural sensitivities and different working practices
  • Ambitious and willing to learn; able to quickly assimilate new information.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
