Risk - Model Control and Assurance Manager - Model Risk Governance - SVP

The role is for a strategic Risk Management professional who closely follows latest trends in Model Risk Governance and associated regulatory guidance, and interprets and adapts them for application locally.

The successful candidate must exhibit excellent communication skills in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are also required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other functions and other locations.

Accountable for providing guidance and interpretation, where required, on matters relating to local regulatory (legal entity specific) model risk management, and broader matters relating to the development and implementation of risk appetite frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Develops, enhances, and validates the methods of measuring and analyzing model risk,
• Manages the legal entity model risk management framework and acts as a trusted partner to legal entity stakeholders,
• Interacts with senior levels of legal entity management to facilitate understanding of usage of risk models and inform critical decisions,
• Provides leadership and guidance for matters pertaining to model risk management,
• Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• Extensiveyears ofexperience
• Very good knowledge of regulatory guidance specific to model risk management across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Ability to deliver compelling presentations and influence executive audiences.
• Excellent communicator; ability to engage and inspire across stakeholder groups.
• Ability to drive innovation via thought leadership while maintaining end-to-end view.
• Effective cross-functional project, resource, and stakeholder management; effectively engage with internal audit and external regulators.
• Intellectual curiosity to stay abreast of regulatory advances.

Education:

• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
