Anderson Knight is currently seeking to recruit a fully Qualified Inventory Accountant for a key client based in Glasgow. Our client is a well known and successful operation and due to internal promotion seek to recruit this role.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the key duties and responsibilities will include:
* Support the Finance Manager in providing a solid foundation to support Inventory and related production reporting and processes.
* Oversee a solid control framework to enable the business to function with confidence that reports and accounts are accurate, timely and reflect business performance.
* Ensure the long term planning process accurately reports on inventory surpluses, deficits, and future requirements to facilitate accurate decision making and planning.
* Take ownership of cost forecasts, variance analysis and support for new product development.
* Support budget process in terms of cost centre budgeting, reporting and control where applicable
* Support Capex processes and re-modelling
* Support cash flow reporting by providing periodic forecasts on total bulk inventory valuation
* Assist with master data workflows
The ideal candidate will possess the following key attributes:
* Fully Qualified Accountant
* Proven experience in a senior finance role
* FMCG / Drinks experience preferred
* Experience of multi-site operations
* Strong financial reporting experience
* Ability to interact with both finance and non financial staff
* Strong decision making skills
* Organisational skills, workload prioritisation, team player
