Assistant Management Accountant

My client a retail business based just outside Romford are hiring for an Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this is someone who has some exposure to management accounting.

My Retail client have grown significantly in recent years and are part of a successful group as well. Revenue & Profits for the business are on the up and so there is more expansion planned in the not so distant future.

Description

Some of the key duties of this Assistant Management Accountant role are:

• Month end journals

• Fixed Assets additions, depreciation

• Expenses

• Liaise with car lease companies

• Reconciliation of the Accruals and Prepayment

• VAT Returns

• Intrastats and EC Sales

• Update detailed Travel & Entertainment spends

• C79 Reconciliation

• Download and distribute Credit Card bills and process the invoice

• Assist Purchase ledger and Credit controller

• Monthly tidy up of Purchase and Sales ledger

• Occasionally do the daily cashbook in all currencies

• Provide cover for the Financial Controller, this includes Payroll and Weekly Cash flow

Profile

The successful Assistant Management Accountant Profile will

• Be comfortable with Management Accounts & the above duties
• Be happy in an open plan environment
• Be comfortable liaising with directors
• Be happy in a slightly senior role with two more junior members of staff in the department
• Be ACCA/CIMA PQ OR AAT Qualified
