Semi Senior Accountant, Huddersfield
The Role
Our client is a regional independent firm of Chartered Accountants within close commute of Sheffield, Barnsley and Huddersfield, are looking to appoint a Semi Senior Accountant to join the firms Corporate Services Division.
The firm support a highly varied regional and nationwide client base, ranging from growing owner managed businesses through to large corporate entities, providing these clients with a full range of accounting, audit, business advisory and taxation services including highly innovative accounting and business solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
The role of Semi Senior Accountant will support the Audit/Accountancy Partners and will assist in the following:
* Preparation of statutory accounts for a mixed portfolio of businesses to partner final review
* Perform audit sections on more technically demanding audits as part of a team, under the direction of a Senior
* Progress to planning and completing company and academy audits within set time frames and budgeted costs
* Prepare basic corporation tax computations
* Proficient in the use of Sage, Xero and other popular accounting packages
* Communicate effectively with clients on specific issues
Skills and Qualities
To be considered for this position the successful candidate will be part qualified ACA or ACCA or AAT qualified with at least 3 years of experience working within a reputable firm of chartered accountants. You will have developed experience of preparing statutory accounts and assisting on statutory client audits.

Salary and Benefits
* Salary - £18,000 - £23,000 (dependent upon experience)
