Lead a huge team consist of 25 direct reports and responsible for their individual development while managing the monthly management accounts and month-end closing processing.
Client Details
Our client is one of the world leading FMGC MNC who is now setting up their shared services centre in Petaling Jaya and they are looking for a RTR Lead to join the team. As the pioneer of set up, you will be given an opportunity to participate in all RTR process related discussions such as resources, migration and stabilization planning.
Description
Developing and securing implementation of efficient accounting procedures for the centre
Lead a team in managing the preparation of the monthly management accounts including analysis of accounts, journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations and other month-end processing
Ensure services performed within the agreed service levels, measure and follow up the quality and efficiency of global processes
Support management and the team in key projects including new country integration, acquisitions and re-organization - significant level of project work involved
Drive the improvement of processes and practices across each company/ledger with the entities for which they are responsible
Work with AR/AP teams to obtain comfort around balance sheet items in their control
Review of detailed monthly P&L and Balance sheet reconciliations and bring improvements to process where possible
Work closely with other sites across the business to aid clean month-end close on key balances
Assist with interim and year-end audit, including preparation of year-end audit file, liaising with audit team and preparation of year end group reporting
Assist all company stakeholders with any technical queries which may arise
Assist in the reporting of Projections / Budgets and project requirements
Ensuring all the data is accurate for reporting purposes
Responsible for employee development to ensure that individual development and build a robust succession plan.
Maintain a stimulating work environment to motivate staff performance and facilitate employee retention
Recruitment and selection of new team members as required
Identify the training needs, develop the training, calendar for cross-training and skill development of employees after they have completed the initial new hire training process
Deliver performance appraisal discussions and annual assessments
Profile
Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CA/CPA/ICAEW/CIMA etc) with at least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 10+ years of relevant working experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience in leading a team of 15.
Solid leadership skill with track record in people development
Controller experience is strongly preferred
Solid SAP Knowledge
Fluent in English, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
SSC experience is a MUST, experience working for both APAC & EMEA market is an added advantage.
