The aim when covid restrictions allow is for this role to be worked with time split across the finance team office, the schools that this person will partner with and some home working and there is flexibility to deliver this as best suits the needs of the business and the individual.
Description
A growing chain of academy schools based in Leeds with a great benefits package is recruiting a finance manager. This is a great opportunity for someone who has wanted to make the move into the education and schools sector, but doesn't have the sector experience. You will use your accountancy experience to add value across a number of key areas of delivery that will include:
Be the key finance support contact for both the academy trust and for a small and dedicated number of partner schools.
Financial planning, budgetary reporting, financial control
Balance sheet reconciliations
Cashflow monitoring
Systems and process improvement
Profile
Candidates will be fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA) and with previous finance business partnering, financial accounting and management accounting experience.
Experience of working within education or schools would be helpful, but not essential, although working as a key partner to schools you'll be comfortable in getting involved in the day to day life of a school environment.
Job Offer
- A salary of c£35,000 - 40,000 depending upon relevant experience.
