Commercial Finance Analyst

The role is a Commercial Finance Analyst working as a part of a dynamic, hard working and innovative team and is a key hire for this national Retail Organisation based in York.

Due to continued success and growth they require a Commercial Finance Analyst to produce management accounts but also act as a Finance Business Partner across all departments. The client has an excellent reputation, known for their hard work but also their friendly and welcoming culture which seeks to reward staff.

Description

As a Commercial Finance Analyst you will be reporting into the Commercial Finance Manager, you will be expected to provide financial planning and commercial support to the Retail Finance team. You will act as a strong business partner to the retail team, working with them to understand and improve profitability. Duties will include, however are not limited to: Manage the business planning process for the retail elements of the P&L, Provide financial leadership and Presentation analysis, Create accurate forecasts, Develop and maintain the Cognos planning models, forecasting methodology and input templates, Develop customer profitability analysis, Support the business development process and Provide analytical support in commercial opportunities, making recommendations for improvements and helping drive profitable sales growth.

Profile

The successful candidate will:

• Have studied toward an accounting qualification or have like-for-like knowledge
• Have strong management accounts knowledge
• Have worked in a Commercial/Business Partnering role previously
• Be a confident orator/have excellent presenting skills
• Be able to manipulate data
