Job Purpose
To process accounting transactions and produce financial and managerial reports and submit with various heads of department for the later to make accurate & timely business decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support finance department on the Business planning & budgeting to determine the current and future plan to align with the organizations goals.
- Responsible for knowing critical functions within the department and capable of mentoring and assisting employees within the department.
- Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Review accounts payables and weekly check runs.
- Determine proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.
- Apply cost accounting methods to achieve accurate representation of cost centre performance.
- Assist with annual budgets - prepares all allocations.
- Coordinate monthly closing process and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Work with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
- Maintain system of accounts and keep records on all company transactions and assets.
- Assist with analysing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances 
- Assist with quarterly producer commission reports; analysing and correcting discrepancies 
- Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
- Maintain appropriate relations with Banks/Third parties and make reports as necessary, ensuring compliance with any contracts. 
- Review the payroll and commission for the company 
- Finalize the Letter of Credit terms & conditions for international suppliers. 
- Review and finalize LBD applications, purchase control reconciliation, allocation of inventory & cost of goods and Bank reconciliation. 
- Responsible for the company's fixed asset schedule and depreciation via the fixed asset register monthly. 
- Responsible and maintains mandated documents as required. Answers inquiries and provides data for auditors, local, state, or agencies 
- Interact and respond to auditor queries, internal and external as necessary. 
- Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
