Management Accountant

This individual will be focused on controlling and reporting all activities involved in Management Accounting, with the opportunity to develop and progress and be exposed to the business as a whole in a business partnering capacity.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Monthly meetings with budget holders to review overhead spend by cost centre
• Assist in the preparation of and challenge of monthly cost centre forecasting reviews
• Compilation of monthly internal financial presentation pack by cost centre - stakeholders including cost centre owners, capex project managers and programme managers
• Prepare monthly narrative on cost base, including performance against budget and forecast to the Financial Controller
• Assist in the production of monthly forecasts and annual budgets
• Daily WIP Labour recoveries reporting
• To ensure adequate financial controls are in place and maintained
• Develop the financial knowledge of non-financial managers within the business as appropriate
• Assist in the preparation of internal and external reporting requirements as required to agreed deadlines
• Assist with the delivery of a range of month end close activities on time and to a high standard of accuracy
• Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Contribute fully to Continuous Improvement for all Finance Activities
• Engage and develop strong relationships with Key Stakeholders

Profile

Candidate Profile:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) and ideally have previous experience of working in a fast paced, PLC manufacturing environment
• Experience with financial modelling, as well as familiarity with SAP, Hyperion and Cognos would be beneficial
• Excellent standard of computer literacy, particularly in using spread sheets.
• Diligent and flexible individual, interested in taking part in a wide range of business issues.
• Strong technical competence in financial accounting and systems is required.
• High level of personal integrity.
• Comfortable to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment, with the flexibility to take on ad hoc analysis and reporting requirement when necessary.

Job Offer

This role can pay a basic salary of £40,000
