Our client a leader in the teleco's sector have an urgent requirement for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities
As ‘Senior Corporate Accountant - Europe'
  • Responsible for the monthly close process for various international entities, including closing GL modules, account reconciliations and variance analysis, month end journal entries, coordinating with Corporate Accounting teams on intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, FX revaluations, etc.
  • Serve as a key point of contact and direct liaison with international controllers.
  • Coordinate and communicate with the accounting/finance teams of the European subsidiaries and outside service providers.
  • Assist in the review of European subsidiaries' balance sheet and income statement for completeness, accuracy and compliance with US GAAP. This will include performing risk assessments for subsidiaries across Europe.
  • Play a leading role in new accounting system implementation & processes as we continue its international growth.
  • Assist in projects related to the growth and integration of the Company's business across Europe.
  • Maintain inter-company balances for various European entities, including preparing the monthly balance sheet reconciliation, monthly billings, and foreign exchange adjustments.
  • Coordinate with AP/AR accountants to make sure all invoicing and customer billings are kept up to date. You will assist in the follow up of payment and receipt of invoices when needed.
  • Assist with the documentation and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Assist with cash management and preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Interface with external/internal auditors and coordinate statutory audits for the timely and efficient filing of statutory and tax accounts for European subsidiaries.
  • Work with Corporate Tax on transfer pricing applications and other indirect tax transactions.
  • Help to implement best practices and ensure compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP and policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with a professional accounting qualification (CA/ACCA/CPA)
  • 3+ years accounting or relevant experience
  • Good understanding of US GAAP, IFRS/Irish GAAP, financial statements and accounting theory
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with others within and outside the accounting team
  • Experience in accounting ERP systems, Oracle and Blackline experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Word with strong written and oral communication skills that enables clear communication to all levels of management.
  • Irish Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required


Preferences
  • Public accounting experience in a Big 4 firm
  • International subsidiaries and foreign currencies a plus
  • ERP system experience (Oracle preferred)
