Background:
This is a newly formed unit within AIS Operations in India and will be responsible for all aspects of business-as-usual activities within the client billing group of processes, as well as process re-engineering and automation activities – this includes leading process assessments; driving process design and process re-engineering work; co-owning technology initiatives bringing automation to billing organization, working in close collaboration with stakeholders globally.
Basic Purpose of Job:
The Client Billing resource provides subject matter knowledge in the assigned area of client biling and invoice creation. The candidate develops a thorough understanding of State Street’s business practices to effectively perform independent, complex platform configuration, data collection and anlysis, and invoice calculations Reporting to the AIS Billling Manager, the resource will be assigned to the Billing Unit, working alongside Global AIS Business Units (BU) members to close a multitude of activities associated with client invoice generation and analytics of the assigned BUs.
Responsibilities & Tasks Include:
Completion of high quality deliverables within the committed timeframe. Deliverables vary by BU focus but typically relate to;
- Confiugration of the billing platform
- Collection of raw data used in the billing process including execution of data quality controls
- Production of client bills
- Engage with Billing Transformation efforts to convert new clients and evolve processes and controls based on learnings from converted clients
- Being a quick learner and raise questions and
concerns in the initial days of training.
- Provide help and assistance to the management in
putting the learning and procedure documents together.
- Understand the requirements of the billing process
and serves as a subject matter expert upon completion of the
training.
- To provide guidance to less seasoned
analysts.
- Employee will be responsible for duties of
Associate1 if need arises.
- Coordinates and supervises work efforts when
multiple Associates are needed to complete work
- Works in conjunction with individuals on the team
to ensure seamless processing according to the departments
requirements.
- Participate in Team building activities and inculcate the culture of oneness, avoid conflicts and ensure being a team player by taking additional work related responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Accounting /
Chartered Accountant (CA), 2-4 years of progressive experience in billing or
accounting areas with major financial institutions in a global
setting
- Complex operational setting involving anaylsis of
financial data
