China accounting manager

The primary function is to establish a clear diagnosis of current Chinese Gaap accounting processes covering General Ledger, AR, AP, Inventory, Fixed Assets and Cash management.

Client Details

The third function is to lead the transformation of accounting activities in order to significantly accelerate month end closing, allowing time savings to be reinvested in other accounting and finance activities.

Description

o Understand and map out "current state" accounting processes based on daily journals and month end closing
o Cooperate with IT auditors during the diagnosis phase
o Identify weaknesses leading to inefficiencies (e.g. multiple data entry, manual processing, peaks in workload, lack of training) and internal control issues (e.g. segregation of duty, second level supervision, system access control)
o Assess if site and group accounting policies are applied, as well as all relevant Chinese Gaap and tax accounting regulations.

Profile

o Map out "future state" accounting processes and identify gaps with "current state"
o Based on gaps, identify and prioritize opportunities for improving ERP utilization
o Categorize opportunities by type (eliminate, simplify, standardize, automate…) and potential impact. Define a list of quick wins.

Job Offer

o Create a project structure with timeline and owners to implement agreed-upon opportunities
o Coordinate with internal IT, if applicable, the re-implementation of relevant NAV modules, including staff training
o Establish a robust internal controls environment to protect the company's assets; this includes the definition and testing of key controls
o Deploy standardized, documented and efficient processes, including realignment of HXG accounting with the other Haining entities
o Deliver a significant acceleration of month end closing.
