A fast growing Multi National business that has only recently set up in the Philippines. The business supports the local economy in multiple ways which adds to the excitement of the new set up.

Description

The Head of Finance in Davao is a new role and therefore the initial focus will be leading the set up of the function & working with external 3rd parties to do a hand over on the transition.

Other responsibilities include:

• Budgeting and financial planning

• Budget monitoring, cost controlling, and reporting

• Cashflow and AR/AP management

• Ensure correct accounting and book closure in line with international accounting standards

• Setting up standard practices for controlling and recording all financial transactions

• Implement business intelligence tools and performance dashboard reports

• Analyze the trend of key performance indicators, especially relating to profitability drivers like market price, purchase price, logistics and other direct costs

• Monitor key performance indicators and identify cause of any unexpected variance

• Perform sensitivity and scenario analysis to help in forecasting

• Preparing internal reports for executive leadership and supporting decision making

• Liaison with the banks & maintain banking relationships

Profile

To apply for the Head of Finance position, candidates must either live in the Davao area or be willing to relocate. Desired industry background are FMCG, Agricultural, or logistics.

Other expectations of the applicants:

• Chartered Accountant with 10-12 years of finance experience

• Accounting knowledge and experience in business partnering role

• Prepared to take self-initiative, highly solution-oriented and ability to work towards tight deadlines

• Ability to develop processes and timelines

• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality

• Ability to lead a team

• Very good skills in Excel and PowerPoint
