Head of Financial Performance that reports to the Director of Finance and will work across the business with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders. The role will be responsible for managing a team of five business partners.
Client Details
The organisation provides a bed and support to more than 2,500 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and works to prevent homelessness, helping about 25,000 people a year. They believe no one should be homeless and that people can - and do - recover from the issues that create homelessness. The charity support men and women through more than 200 projects including emergency hostel and supportive housing projects, advice services and specialist physical health, mental health, skills and work services.
Description
The Head of Financial Performance will have the following responsibility's:
- Design and build the management accounts function to meet the needs of the organisation for timely and accurate financial information and meaningful commentary.
- Complete the financial evaluation of the five year Business Plan and prepare in the format of the HCA Financial Forecast Return.
- Lead the annual budgeting exercise and forecasting cycle.
- Develop the Financial Modelling capability to support strategic decision making and business tenders.
- Support the Assistant Finance Business Partners and Finance Business Partners in the delivery of timely financial information to stakeholder and help develop the Financial Performance team as a whole through pro-active reviews, meetings and training.
- Design and build the management accounts function to meet the needs of the organisation for timely and accurate financial information and meaningful commentary.
Profile
You will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with strong business reporting and partnering capabilities that can be evidenced through previous experience. Alongside this you will have first rate analytical skills and the ability to present and discuss financial information with senior stakeholders in an engaging manner.
Strong team management experience is essential to this role and specifically, managing and developing a management information team through a period of change.
