Interim Financial Accountant - NHS - 6 month initial contract working for Leeds City Centre NHS Organisation, but currently home based. Focusing across a broad portfolio of work including payroll accounting.

An innovative NHS organisation based in a city centre location.

Currently they are all working remotely at home, but the offices are based in Leeds City Centre and so candidates will need to be able to commute to Leeds in the future, but there will be a blend of home and office based working when the restrictions are lifted.

Description

As an Interim Financial Accountant you will use your accountancy skills to deliver across a number of key areas:

Manage the delegated budget. Ensure compliance with finance and procurement policies. Provide procurement advice, Manage finances, assets and payroll reconciliation. Identify and gain agreement for measures to deliver budget efficiencies through either cost-savings, re-allocation of financial resources or external sourcing of services. Ensure regular review of expenditure take place. Assist and support budget holders to scrutinise their own budgets. Production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounts, forecasts and budgets as required.

Profile

To be successful as a candidate for this role we will need candidates to display the following key skills and experience.

• NHS / Public Sector experience
• Financial accounting and management accounting experience
• Ideally payroll accounting experience
• Ideally a qualified accountant ( ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA )

Job Offer

This Interim Financial Accountant role is inside IR35 and compliant to an NHS Band 8a equivalent salary (£45,753 - £51,668)

The daily rate on offer is £198 per day plus holiday pay £229 total pay PAYE

Or £256 per day via an Umbrella Company
