RG Consultancy are working with a well-established firm of accountants near Worsley who are looking for an assistant accountant/audit senior to join their busy, friendly firm. This is an interesting and varied role and would offer a progression opportunity for a candidate with some practice experience or a good mix of work for a more experienced person. The role is a 50/50 split between audits and accounts.

Duties will include:
- Providing advice to a wide range of SME businesses in the area
- preparation of monthly management accounts
- lead and manage audits
- preparation of annual statutory accounts
- produce budgets and cash flow forecasts for clients
- accruals and prepayments
- journals and nominal ledger
- VAT returns and preparing tax returns
- costing
- petty cash, expenses, BACS runs
- other ad-hoc duties
The successful candidate will likely have the following skills:
- ideally AAT qualified or equivalent
- good communication skills
- ability to work to tight time-scales
- Practice background
- Have lead and managed audits
