EMEA Management Accountant

This is a key role offering high visibility across the business - preparing monthly management accounts for European entities, including management of the P&L and balance sheets, intercompany reconciliation and budgeting/variance analysis. You'll also be providing critical support for the UK business providing timely financial reporting in accordance with internal & external requirements.

Description

Supporting the Senior Financial Controller, you will be responsible for a number of key activities including leading the month end process, preparing monthly management accounts for subdivisions across EMEA - preparing financial statements, month end and year end consolidated reports, balance sheet/P&L and intercompany reconciliation for US reporting and local GAAP's. You'll build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to highlight opportunities, risks and issues. As well as leading the month end process and compiling the management accounts, you will be providing quality variance analysis, forecasts and commentary and heavily engage with various senior stakeholders and teams across the business. You'll also provide critical support for the UK business, providing timely financial reporting in accordance with internal & external requirements.

Profile

Applicants for this role should be newly-qualified accountants (preferably CIMA or ACCA however ACA will also be considered for candidates with experience in industry), ideally with up to 3 years' post qualified experience. In addition, some accounting experience with European/EMEA/International entities in addition to UK is essential. Candidates will be capable of working with non-finance as well as senior stakeholders and have strong communication skills. There will be excellent opportunities to progress. There is no need for previous experience within the Telecoms or Technology sector, however this would be advantageous. US GAAP experience would also be advantageous.
