Azets
Azets is an award-winning leading firm of Accountants and Business Advisors operating across the UK, Nordics and the USA. We are a family of over 6,500 employees and work across 100 offices in the UK alone. We have seen dramatic growth in recent years which has made us the 9th largest accountancy firm in the UK, and we are over the moon to have been awarded Accountancy Firm of the Year in the FD Excellence Survey 2020. As a result of this growth, we are now looking to invest in our skills set even further!
Our values are our motivations:
Our values are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for people who also believe in these drivers as we work together to achieve success for both our colleagues and our clients alike. As a business we believe we are stronger together. We share knowledge, ask for help and empower each other to achieve more collectively. We are open minded and value everyone’s contribution, embracing our differences and fostering a culture of trust and inclusion. We look for people who adapt quickly to change, finding smart ways to deliver the best results and remain one step ahead. Does that sound like you?
RequirementsTo get the job that you’ll love
For us, the personal attributes of each of our employees are what makes us authentic in the marketplace. We look for people who can collaborate with peers but can also bring their own voice to the table. We want people who are dynamic in their approach and respectful of other people’s opinions. We are looking for someone who want to be more than just a team member, but who wants to join a family of likeminded individuals.
As a Tax Associate Director working across the North East region, the focus of your role will be on delivering tax advisory projects for a range of clients, including owner managed businesses and their shareholder’s private affairs. Due to the nature of the North East client base projects will inevitably be undertaken across both the private client and corporate spectrum. The individual will have experience of delivering advisory projects but will have experience in private client taxation, specifically looking at Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax and trust taxation. You will be working as part of a growing business area based across our North East region and will have the support of a long-standing, highly experience wider team.This role is not limited to a particular tax specialism and would allow the individual opportunities to be involved in several different planning areas.
This position is a newly created role within our North East Tax Advisory service therefore you will have the autonomy to really shape your position and develop this business area further in the future. Progression and development would be encouraged and supported by the wider team and you would have a direct input into strategic growth plans. We have an existing client base; however, business development would also be a key part of your position with the expectation that you would expand this in the future.
In terms of qualifications, we want to ensure we are offering the best service to our customers. A relevant professional qualification such as CTA, ACA or ACCA is essential for this role. The successful appointment will have a collaborative outlook with a process mindset and be adept at dealing with clients directly around complex tax matters. In addition, Private Client Tax experience is essential. As this is a senior position within the team, you will nurture and mentor more junior staff and ensure their progression is also a priority. This position would suit an ambitious Senior Manager looking to take that next step in their career or an existing Associate Director that is looking to join a modern accountancy firm. This is a real growth opportunity and an exciting time to join the firm!
A note from the Hiring Manager;
“This is an outstanding opportunity to join a rising, vibrant tax advisory team and help shape the future of the service provision, with excellent career development opportunities.”
