Job Description:

The candidate will be responsible to audit and provide a detailed research of holdings, pricing, transactional changes\discrepancies and market value impacts on highly sensitive timelines using a variety of tools and applications for the APAC clients. He/She will verify accuracy of information by reviewing daily\periodic exception reports like iTool, Webtools, Management reports etc. The candidate should be research oriented analytically and procedurally competent representing the team on cross-function process or process deliverables. Emerging as an expert in a specific skill set but remains focused primarily on daily execution.

Major Duties:

  1. Audit Daily/Monthly iTool, Management reports and Exception reports resolving issues by applying process knowledge, procedures and accounting principles.
  2. Adhering to procedures and guidelines as laid in the relevant process
  3. Liaisons with appropriate partner areas to ensure timely follow up on queries that are done in order to meet the set targets. Build strong working relationships with other departments throughout the organization.
  4. Clear & timely communication via email/telephone is the key i.e. daily interaction with colleagues, management, & other related partner areas across the region.
  5. Responds to internal and external inquiries resolving discrepancies at account level providing guidance to the team in resolving exceptions.
  6. Focus on resolution of complex issues, where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines and procedures.
  7. Effective utilization of cross training tool to increase productivity
  8. Active participation in team meetings to promote group learning via the sharing of experiences is to be encouraged. A team spirit should be fostered & candidates should possess the ability to express themselves & pass on gained knowledge in the forum.
  9. Be able to multitask, prioritize whilst working to strict deadlines is an essential requirement.

Knowledge/Skills:

  1. Thorough knowledge of securities processing procedures and the accounting acquired through the coursework or prior related experience is required to review and audit the reports.
  2. Logical & Analytical thinking, problem solving skills to identify, research and resolve inquiries/data.
  3. Sound knowledge of applications like Excel, Management reports, Fund master, Bloomberg and iTool.
  4. Good understanding of financial instruments like Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives securities.
  5. Organizational skills are required to complete the allocated work and the responsibilities within scheduled timeframes.
  6. Strong written and oral communication skills are required to disseminate information to team.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 12-15 months in the financial industry, accounting knowledge is preferred, but not a must.
