The Opportunity

Our Finance and Strategy Group is looking for an analytically minded individual with strong attention to detail to be our Senior Analyst. You will be assisting our Strategic Advisor with work including; advising on our investment in the ActewAGL Joint Venture, supporting the development of our business strategy and analysing other commercial transactions, including corporate insurance.

A day in the life...

  • Provide commercial advice on strategies to maximise the value of Icon Water’s investments, and assessing potential transactions for water and sewerage assets
  • Assess changes in the water industry, including Icon Water’s performance, and strategies we should adopt to improve the value attributable to shareholders
  • Develop business cases and strategies including financial modelling, contracting advice, and risk mitigation to support commercial advice
  • Support our Strategic Advisor to prepare the Board’s annual energy investment strategy discussion
  • Undertake screening and evaluation of potential M&A targets and divestments

What do I need to have?

  • Enthusiasm, self-motivation and focused on continuous improvement
  • Strong problem solving, negotiation and analytical skills
  • Tertiary qualification in finance or similar
  • Significant experience in financial analysis, within a commercial environment
  • Experience in analysing complex business issues and presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong experience in business reporting writing.
