Business Analyst- Fixed Term Contract

Job Background/context:

The Business Analyst team is part of the EMEA Change department, with staff located in Edinburgh, Warsaw and Dublin.

The Edinburgh function consists of team of Business Analysts, responsible for the delivery of analysis across multiple strategic and client change programmes.

The role will involve supporting analysis for a complex internal system migration/integration.

Job Purpose:

To apply Business Analysis experience and knowledge of fund administration functions to complete analysis work, including complex business analysis, solution design and impact assessments.

Supporting the analysis workstream on a complex strategic project. We have a complex Fund Accounting platform which is split by region in EMEA and we are looking to merge the 3 instances into 1 instance.

The processes within the systems differs and added complexity with the peripheral system setups for each of the core systems also differ by region. We need BA to understand the complexities and support implementation of agreed solutions on how to achieve the merging of the core database by minimising impact to the processes, peripheral systems and reporting to client.

The role will involve working with multiple areas of the business both operations and technology to ensure that all impacts of the change have been identified and fully documented within the remit of the Operating Model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership and accountability of full analysis lifecycle on a complex internal migration programme
• Development and validation of Business Analysis plans
• Work closely with the client, Citi project teams and business areas to define accurate and complete requirements which are fully documented, with common understanding between the client and Citi
• Use of process modelling practices and techniques to clearly document and communicate analyse findings
• Support the Change Delivery team to ensure all projects are implemented to time and budget and with no impact to BAU
• Regular progress reporting to the Business Analyst Manager, Project Manager and the client
• Ensure all aspects of existing and target operating models are known to ensure full test plans and contingency plans are in place
• Interact with Citi BAU teams and client analysts to ensure requirements are met and Operations are ready for new processes
• Support the client and operations teams post-implementation until such time as key sign off criteria met

Knowledge/Experience:

• Proven Business Analyst experience following industry standard practices
• Experience of working on multiple projects and delivering to demanding deadlines.
• Experience of fund accounting (desirable)
• Experience of working withasset management clients, on a variety of fund vehicles (e.g. OEICs, Unit-linked, Segregated etc).

• Strong and concise written and oral communication skills
• Passion for creating solutions with positive attitude to change
• Strong knowledge of market instruments and conventions
• Knowledge of Fund Accounting platforms (preferred)
• Understanding of end to end Fund Accounting operating models (preferred)

Qualifications:

• Business Analyst qualifications and/or proven BA experience
• Strong fund administration / operations background
