Accounts Payable Specialist

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, this exciting new role has become available due to the expansion which my client is going through. This is a role for an experienced AP clerk who is looking to move into a growing company.

The outline of this role is to maintain the Purchase Ledger Accounts and to ensure payments are processed within terms.

You must have experience using SAGE 500.

My Client is working within Luxury office space who have continued to expand within London.

This Accounts Payable role will be based within their main finance team and so would be a great fit for a candidate with a Retail or Hospitality background.

Description

Key responsibilities for this Accounts Payable role include:

You must have experience using SAGE 500.

• Preparing Balance sheet reconciliations for all purchase ledger accounts
• The first point of contact for suppliers, maintaining the accounts payable inbox
• Reviewing outstanding invoices list daily and investigate queries
• Preparing and maintaining payment forecast for all major suppliers
• Ensuring all invoices are processed in a timely matter to the highest standard
• Responsible for Weekly BACs and CHAPS payment run
• Collaborating with the finance team to resolve invoice discrepancies
• Maintaining supplier accounts and supplier reconciliations
• Assisting with preparation of audit samples
• Preparing monthly key supplier statement reconciliations

You must be able to comfortably commute and work within the office - this role cannot be done from home.

Profile

The successful candidate for this Accounts Payable must have:

You must have experience using SAGE 500.

• Purchase Ledger experience is essential
• Previous Retail/FMCG/hospitality experience is essential
• Highly organised, accurate with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment
• Excellent Word and Excel skills
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships
• Proactive and able to use initiative
• Preferably studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/AAT or equivalent)
