Regional Controller, Finance & Operations (US MNC)

The Company

Our client is a world leading US MNC in the sports and leisure industry. As they continue to strengthen their brand presence in Asia, they are seeking a Regional Controller to oversee the Finance and Operations for SEA.

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Managing Director, you will lead a team and be responsible for overseeing the Finance, IT, Legal, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Warehouse Operations for the region, in addition to your role as Company Secretary. Your scope of work will include overseeing the finance and accounting function such as month end closing, statutory reporting in compliance to IFRS and US GAAP, budgeting and forecasting, treasury and cash management, liaising with external auditors and tax agents. You will also oversee IT, warehouse operations, inventory control as well as work with HR on payroll matters.

This is a highly visible role within the organization and you will have the opportunity to partner closely with the senior management team in support of commercial and strategic decisions as well as identifying key business opportunities and risks. You will also lead and drive process improvement and efficiency projects across the region.

Your Profile

As the successful candidate, you will possess a degree in accountancy or ACCA with at least 10 years of relevant experience, ideally within a retail or FMCG environment. Prior exposure within a US MNC and familiarity with US GAAP will be essential. Proven experience in overseeing HR, IT, Supply Chain and/or Warehousing will be highly preferred.
