Job Description

We are aiming to find a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper for our client. You will supervise the financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and cash flow as the Full Charge Bookkeeper. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will also supervise the clerical staff. Self-driven and organized accounting professionals might be interested in this Bookkeeper role if they thrive under tight deadlines with minimal supervision. This full-time employment opportunity is based in Oxnard, CA.

Your responsibilities in this role
- Organize subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
- Create cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.
- Create cash flow projections, as needed
- Accounts Payable
- Arrange sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
- Form monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
- Credit Card management and reconciliation
- Guide monthly accounting close
- Business license and gross receipts coverage
- Knowledgeable with Accounts Receivable

Requirements

- Top notch analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
- Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Paychex Payroll experience
- Experience with Quickbooks Online
- Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Proficiency in payroll
- Practical knowledge of Journal Entry Preparation
- 7+ years of related experience
- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
