Financial Reporting Accountant Job Edinburgh up to £43,000 + bens

Hays Senior Finance are working with a leading Investment Manager in Edinburgh to recruit a Financial Reporting Accountant. This is a permanent role offering £40,000 - £43,000 per annum. Our client is a multi-national business with a presence across the UK, Europe and America with a continually evolving client portfolio. This is a fast paced change centred business with an excellent reputation in the market.
This is a great role for an experienced qualified or soon to be qualified accountant to take on a progressive role where they can develop their experience in a progressive environment.
Your new role
Reporting to a Fund accounting Manager, you will oversee activities across on of the largest clients in the portfolio providing a review of statutory accounts, financial statements and working under SORP guidelines. you will review and challenge MI, prepare quality and insightful reports for management and contribute to wider process improvement exercises across fund reporting channels. You will have strong P&L, balancesheet reporting and analytical skills with a proactive approach to process improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong technical accounting background either coming from an investments background or CA firm. You will have a good appreciation of Open ended investment clients and SORP guidelines with excellent communication skills to work in a multi-site environment.
