Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing Federal and State income tax returns for corporations, including consolidated and combined returns, quarterly estimates and extensions
- Assisting with preparing and analyzing the quarterly tax provision and valuation allowance
- Assisting in the preparation FIN 48 schedules and interest calculations
- Aiding in the management of various tax audits (property, sales and income tax audits etc.)
- Managing internal 404 requirements and auditors' requests
- Assisting with quarterly Estimated Tax Rate (ETR) calculation for senior management, highlighting specials and discrete items in the quarter
- Performing different types of research for several different jurisdictions
- Responsible for the overseeing and the reviewing Tax Associate's work
Qualifications
Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Working knowledge of Tax research tools (CCH or RIA)
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
