Our Defence Executive Officers (DXOs), alongside their military counterparts, play critical roles in preserving Singapore's sovereignty and stability.
You improve the organisation's governance and risk management by providing advice on risks associated with new policies, initiatives, systems and processes. On this, you review business processes, appraise the adequacy and effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management systems, as well as make recommendations for improvements. You also assist in the facilitation of Auditor-General Office's (AGO) audit projects in MINDEF/SAF. Additionally, you promote good governance and control practices within the organisation through education and training. Your challenge lies in having a thorough understanding of various systems and processes to identify risks, having a macro perspective in order to make appropriate assessments and recommendations, as well as coordinating with various stakeholders to verify and investigate observations.
You must have a tertiary qualification in accountancy or business administration, with at least 4 years of audit or relevant experience. Possession of good analytical and interpersonal skills is essential. Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
