About the departmentManufacturing IT is the unit responsible for more than 40 global IT systems at Novo Nordisk including the operation, maintenance, support and development of these systems. The systems are used on a global scale by all areas of the business from R&D to Sales and are critical to the execution of key business processes such as development, manufacturing, sales, finance, etc.This includes SAP logistics modules like Sales and Distribution(SD), Materials Management(MM), Advanced planner Optimiser (APO), Plant Maintenance(PM), Quality Management(QM), Production Planning and Process Industry(PPPI), Warehouse Management(WM), Advanced Track and Trace for pharmaceutical( ATTP), Global Batch Traceability (GBT) modules which are among the most critical IT systems in Novo Nordisk and they are used 24x7 by thousands of NN users worldwide.

The positionYou will join a team of dedicated SAP Logistics professionals as SAP MM functional consultant. The job entails a broad range of SAP application project & support activities. You will be responsible for interacting with business users to understand the processes & building interfaces with SAP / Non-SAP systems. You will be involved in testing SAP for completeness and correctness and participate in the development and maintenance.

Further, you will be working with business users from Procurement and Goods movement areas to understand the data flow in & out of SAP systems to develop and manage interfaces (Inbound/Outbound) with SAP / Non-SAP systems. You are responsible in handling incidents and problems and analysis, design and implementation of the system changes required and create functional design documents based on business requirements.

You are expected to understand and addresses any integration points with other SAP modules and other legacy systems as well as support for current and future implementations. You will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting of critical batch jobs/process chains to avoid disruptions to business users. You will be expecting to assist and guide vendor application support team when and where required.

QualificationsBelow are the skills required.
  • MSC, MCA, MBA, BE, BTech or similar graduate degree in relevant field (Software Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration)
  • Should have excellent hands on experience in handling the interfaces (Inbound and Outbound) using BAPI, IDOC/EDI with SAP / Non-SAP systems and knowledge on integrations with middleware like SAP PO/CPI.
  • Must have experience writing complex functional specifications including interfaces and custom programs, working with technical programmers to analyse defects and propose solutions
  • 4-10 years of experience with SAP MM.
  • Strong conceptual understanding of, and experience with, the SAP logistic landscape and preferably knowledge and experience in the SAP MM area coupled with SAP SNC, SAP SD, SAP WM.
  • IT experience covering specification, design, development, validation, implementation and maintenance of IT solutions
  • Experience with configuration and solid understanding of integration between the modules and systems, e.g. SAP SNC, SAP SD.
  • Interface and Connection Monitoring of between business-critical systems
  • Monitor interfaces in detail, for example the performance of connections between systems. Should be able to provide aggregate overviews, define scenarios which comprise all systems on which, for example, certain critical business scenarios depend. Cluster the relevant interfaces in interface channels between the systems.
  • Experience in building interfaces with OpenText Content Suite and SAP document management & Access by OpenText. Preparation for integration of an SAP Extended ECM by OpenText
  • Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements
  • Map client business requirements, processes and objectives; develops necessary product modifications to satisfy clients' needs. Identify gaps, issues and work around solutions
  • Act as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyse, and solve software problems
  • Resource will design test scripts, test cases and execute testing of interface with OpenText. Document functional designs, test cases and results
  • Possess strong analytical skills, seek alternative solutions, self-driven, responsible, high degree of quality mind-set and involve other people to handle risks and dilemmas
  • Team player who can work both in teams and still be able to self-directed and work independently, focus on efficiency and business value in all tasks being executed, and communicate productively with clients
  • Good time management and organisation skills; the ability to prioritise own work to meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of work
  • Experience from working in a project oriented, international matrix organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, comfortable working with different countries across multiple time-zones
  • Good understanding of AGILE framework and working in AGILE teams
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical industry will be an added advantage
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with external parties, primarily users
  • Ability to represent NN in relations with users and external stakeholders
  • ITIL foundation certification or equivalent experience to entry level
