Leading diverse WA business is currently in a growth phase and with ongoing major projects is looking for an extra pair of hands in the finance team to backfill an internal move.
As the lead Financial Accountant you will be responsible for the organisations financial reporting and the supervision of 2 finance staff. You will have free on-site parking, flexible working hours and the option of working from home. As the lead Financial Accountant you will be responsible for the organisations financial reporting and the supervision of 2 finance staff. Key Responsibilities
- Varied and challenging hands-on role where you will be responsible for the delivery of the Financial Accounting;
- Management, mentoring and development of 2 part-qualified staff.
- Half year and full year statutory reporting.
- Co-ordination of the month-end activities.
- Internal and external financial reporting.
- Fixed asset accounting and maintenance.
- Regulatory reporting and tax return preparation.
- Cash flow reporting and forecasting.
- Ongoing financial advice to various business units on tax and the financial impact of key transactions.
- Other ad-hoc responsibilities on projects per direction of the Group Financial Controller.
Key Requirements:
- Fully qualified CA/CPA accountant with audit training background preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years post CA/CPA qualification.
- Be equipped with an advanced level technical accounting and taxation skill set.
- Team player and be prepared to invest in your own career and staff development.
- Capability to work in a fast moving, dynamic and changeable environment.
- Must have a valid work visa for Australia.
