In EY FS Ireland, we are expanding our Consulting practice and building our Technology Consulting team as a key component of our NextWave Strategy. The opportunity

By joining the Technology Consulting team, you will work in high-performing teams that deliver exceptional client service, enabling organizations to grow, innovate, protect and optimise their business performance – playing your part in building a better working world.

Your key responsibilities

  • Help to build valued relationships with external clients and internal peers
  • You will help clients align project outcomes with their strategy by acting as an intermediary between business and technology stakeholders
  • Proactively identify any opportunities to leverage process redesign and technology to change how their service can be delivered.
  • Assist with the process redesign, process optimization and change improvement in order to improve efficiency.
  • Play an active role in strategic digital transformation programmes/projects
  • Design new methods of delivery using technology in order to refine processes which in turn will create efficiencies.
  • Investigate any potential new solutions and technologies and provide insights on technology trends
  • Promote any opportunities to use technology to solve problems and encourage innovative ideas to be used across the firm.
  • Create high-quality work products and act as a subject matter resource on one or more services, leveraging knowledge and experience to shape services to client problems
  • Understand all our service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients
  • People responsibilities

  • Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring more junior members of staff
  • Be responsible for your own self-development, and maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills
  • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
  • To qualify for the role, you must 

  • Have at least 1 year within a blue-chip consulting firm, industry or government organisation (strong track record in consulting is highly desirable)
  • Have a strong academic record including a third level degree, preferably in IT or relevant field
  • Have experience operating in a fast paced, multi-vendor environment.
  • Have experience in driving process review as well as re-engineering projects in order to deliver process efficiency 
  • Have knowledge and proven experience of working with IT Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (SDLC) including Waterfall & Agile
  • Have experience in seeking the alignment of business and technology, operating across organisational and technology silos to drive common approaches
  • Experience in delivering business value from technology
  • Experience in delivering within several technology transformation projects
  • Have ability to build and manage relationships across business and technology stakeholders
  • Have ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Have attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ideally, you’ll also have

    Experience in one or more of the following:

  • Have experience in Financial Services
  • Analysing systems and procedures
  • Stakeholder Management and working collaboratively with Development and Testing teams to deliver high quality solutions that meet client and user business needs
  • Data modelling or analysis experience (incl. SQL) preferable
  • Exposure to Public Cloud Technologies
  • ERP/CRM implementation
  • Coding and Scripting
  • Software testing experience
  • Project management experience
