Azets
Azets is an award-winning leading firm of Accountants and Business Advisors operating across the UK, Nordics and the USA. We are a family of over 6,500 employees and work across 100 offices in the UK alone. We have seen dramatic growth in recent years which has made us the 9th largest accountancy firm in the UK, and we are over the moon to have been awarded Accountancy Firm of the Year in the FD Excellence Survey 2020. As a result of this growth, we are now looking to invest in our skills set even further!
Our values are our motivations:
Our values are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for people who also believe in these drivers as we work together to achieve success for both our employees and our clients alike. As a business we believe we are stronger together. We share knowledge, ask for help and empower each other to achieve more collectively. The same applies when we look to add talent to our family. We constantly ask ourselves what the right thing is to do for our people, our clients and our business, acting with integrity at all times. We are open minded and value everyone’s contribution, embracing our differences and fostering a culture of trust and inclusion. We look for people who adapt quickly to change, finding smart ways to deliver the best results and remain one step ahead. Does that sound like you?
Requirements
To get the job you'll love
For us, the personal attributes of each of our employees are what makes us authentic in the marketplace. We look for people who can collaborate with peers but can also bring their own voice to the table. We want people who are dynamic in their approach and respectful of other people’s opinions. We are looking for someone who want to be more than just a team member, but who wants to join a family of likeminded individuals.
As a Senior in our Business Risk and Assurance/Internal Audit department you will lead the delivery of internal audits, from planning through audit fieldwork, reporting writing and completion. You will be an effective communicator who is comfortable in liaising with key audit contacts both on site at client premises and remotely using video-conferencing and other technology. You will conduct interviews, review documents, carry out audit testing, agree findings and draft audit reports using our audit working papers system.
You will be responsible for identifying, analysing and documenting control weaknesses and making recommendations to address these and to add value. You will be confident understanding key risks and controls based on your experience and knowledge of best practice. You will understand the importance of working in partnership with your clients to recommend appropriate solutions to any areas of risk within their organisation.
You will be working with a great team of like-minded colleagues all focused on supporting each other to perform at their best. You will be part of a growing department that offers lots of opportunity for development and progression. As you become a mentor for the colleagues in the earlier part of their career journey, the ideal candidate will be ICAS, ACCA, CIPFA or IIA qualified to work collaboratively with both our trainees and managers alike. However, candidates with other, relevant qualifications or a proven and extensive track record in this type of role will also be considered
