The client is a new media and internet business that are based in the West End (Bond Street) and they are looking for a Finance Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis. The company are growing very rapidly and are looking to recruit in order to help manage the additional workload.
Client Details
The client is a rapidly growing business that operate in both the energy and technology sectors. They have a medium sized FP&A team of 5 people, and they are looking for additional support as the workload for the team has increased over the past few months. They are looking for a permanent Finance Analyst (reporting into the Group FP&A Manager) to assist with the financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc analysis for the business.
Description
This Finance Analyst sits within the FP&A team and supports them in delivering the following:
- Next year's Budget for each sites and group
- Annual 10 year business plan
- Risk and opportunity analysis for each sites and group related Board Papers preparation
- Full year forecasts review and month to month variances analysis
- Ad hoc financial modelling and scenario analysis for the senior management
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Support site budget creation
- Develop a seamless roll up to group consolidation file
- Look into each site's budget and assumptions
- Monthly variance analysis
- Identify the risks and opportunities for each site and group
- Review the full year forecasts throughout the year, and analyse month to month variances
- Support the coordination of the group's business planning process to produce 10 year business plan, and help to update the plan on annual basis
- Run the related financial models to produce result analysis based on the given assumption in a timely manner, and on ad hoc basis
- Provide all the necessary support to produce related board papers and any other finance presentations
Profile
The successful Finance Analyst will:
- Have approximately 2/3 years of experience in a similar role (Junior or Trainee Finance Analyst/FP&A Analyst)
- Be confident
- Have brilliant Excel skills (MUST be familiar with Macros)
- Previous knowledge of a finance system
- Good written and communication skills
- Ability to explain finance to "non-finance people"
