Job Purpose
• Ensure staff, suppliers and all stakeholders are fully aware of expected business ethics
• Manage communications with people reporting suspected wrongdoing
Working Relationships
Internal: BOM, Managers and all staff
External: Consulting organisations
Responsibilities
• Plan, organise and carry out the internal audit function including the preparation of an audit plan which fulfils the responsibility of the department, scheduling, assigning work and estimating resource needs
• Report to CEO on internal audit results
• Work with external auditors, when appropriate
• Suggest to CEO or directors action plans to prevent, detect and correct improper/ violated actions which relates to business ethics, including:
➢ Frauds and wastes in business
➢ Management abuse of power
➢ Improper communications of people in the working environment, which impact on other staff
• Make recommendations on the systems and procedures being reviewed regarding standards of ethics in business, report on the findings and recommendations and monitor management's response and implementation
• Conduct trainings, workshops to staff regarding standards of ethics in business environment
• Manage communications with people
• Prioritise tasks to ensure maximum effectiveness of the internal audit function
• Conduct any reviews or tasks requested by CEO or directors
• Act with the utmost integrity
Qualifications
• Experience in accounting/ financial audit and compliance
• Experience of working in global audit companies is an advantage
• Knowledge of audit procedures, including planning, techniques, test and sampling methods involved in conducting audits
• Knowledge of computerised accounting and auditing record, keeping systems
• Ability to gather, analyse, evaluate facts/ data, prepare and present concise oral & written reports
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
