The Treasury Staff Accountant I is responsible for general accounting functions related to the monthly accounting cycle, which may include various expense accounts, revenue and accounts receivable, fixed assets, liabilities and accruals or other general accounting topics.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly journal entries, analysis and account reconciliations to accurately close the monthly fiscal period
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for all assigned balance sheet accounts, including documentation to support all balances
• Assists and provides guidance to Staff Accountants as needed for monthly processes and other projects assigned
• Responsible for ensuring all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved, advising management of any potential roadblocks or issues as necessary
• Administers Quarterly and Year-end processing ensuring department deadlines and initiatives are achieved
• Assists business unit management, as needed in financial information requests
• Provides support for annual internal and external audits as necessary, including preparing audit schedules and crosschecking, financial statements and footnotes

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 1-4 years of professional accounting experience required
• Knowledge of accounting/understanding of ledger accounts required
• Sound technical knowledge of basic accounting principles required
• Familiarity with accounting software or sub-ledger
• Experience with Yardi a plus
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Business Suite, including strong Excel skills
• Experience working in real estate industry a plus
