Position Overview:

The Accounting and Finance Teams at Jefferies Finance has an opportunity for an experienced and motivated candidate to serve as a Financial Planning & Analysis professional that will work with all teams across the organization. The Financial Planning & Analysis position is an integral part of our organization and will be primarily responsible for the analysis of historic data and the preparation of presentations for both internal and external stakeholders, vendors, credit providers and future strategic partners.

Qualifications
Responsibilities include:

- Analyze and manage forward looking processes including forecasts, strategic/operating plans, liquidity management, monthly outlooks, and review of results against monthly and quarterly plans

- Prepare month-end flash income statement estimates, balance sheet trends and create variance analysis, income forecasts and commentary for senior management

- Extract, analyze, explain and report on financial data and present trends and metrics pertaining to credit underwritings and broadly distributed loan transactions as well as statistics on credit quality and activity within various middle market and broadly syndicated loan portfolios in conjunction with the accounting, underwriting and portfolio teams

- Prepare on both an ongoing and ad hoc basis professional presentations highlighting information and analytics for executive management and the Board of Directors for evaluation of business decisions and strategy.

- Prepare on both an ongoing and ad hoc basis professional presentations for stakeholders, credit providers, rating agencies, vendors and other existing and future strategic partners

- Coordinate financial information throughout the organization to identify, research, and resolve discrepancies in financial reports

- Model strategic "what if" reports

- Provide information for various ad-hoc requests from senior management and portfolio managers

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in banking and financial services

- Experience as financial analyst in banking and credit related commercial products and institutions

- CPA a plus

- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics preferred

- Substantial financial modeling training and experience

- Technology oriented, familiar with data base design and construction and advanced capability with Microsoft applications

- Outstanding written, verbal and presentation design skills

- Strong understanding of accounting theory and financial reporting

- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization including senior / executive management in a clear and concise manner
