Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field; 2-5 yrs. experience in an accounting or finance environment, preferably with a non-profit organization. Strong Excel skills required as well as experience with other Windows applications and accounting software. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license and independent means of transportation for frequent travel to locations throughout the assigned county as well as to the offices of Hudson Valley Community Services ("HVCS").

Description

General Ledger
- Prepare journal entries
- Monitor restricted donations; prepare monthly analysis
Cash/Banking
- Process daily cash deposits; identify restricted donations
- Maintain daily cash report
- Update monthly investment/cash report
- Monitors and reviews all Special Events proceeds
- Prepares monthly statement of sources and uses of cash
Contracts/Revenue
- Process monthly vouchers when needed
- Maintain monthly master voucher log
- Prepare budget mods for Director's review
- Act as NYS Grants Gateway back-up
- Update monthly contract revenue allocation table
Fixed Assets
- Reconcile inventory logs to contracts.
- Coordinate with Facilities Mgr to ensure inventory tags are put on all purchased equipment
Purchasing
- Input purchase orders into Fund EZ
- Coordinate with A/P Clerk to reconcile PO's and AP
Audit
- Prepare Schedule for Federal Awards (A-133)
- Provide support and analysis functions where needed
- Reconcile contract A/R and Deferred Revenue accounts
Systems
- Maintains log of trainings for fiscal staff
- Reviews fiscal staff compliance
Budget
- Prepare CFA's
- Prepare Budget Mods when necessary
Financial Reporting
- Develop new reports
- Produce monthly Statement of Cash Flows
- Produce Monthly Variance Reports - Budget vs Actual with analysis done quarterly
Paycom/Payroll
- Back-up to Accounting Manager
- Reviews allocations to confirm accuracy with contracts
