Your Opportunity:
A private equity backed firm on the 'outskirts' of Southampton has exclusively approached the Team at Network Professional in order to secure a talented Assistant Management Accountant for their thriving finance team. This newly created role will have a focus on supporting the Head of Finance in the provision of insightful management accounts for a wide variety of stakeholders and ensure a smooth and efficient accounting process. This groundbreaking business has been growing organically and acquisitively over the last couple of years and has the brightest future in store, with more acquisitions planned imminently. This newly created role constitutes an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or AAT level 4) to take their career forward with an inspirational leadership team. In addition to exposure to all the key financial statements and a holistic view of the accounting process, the successful postholder will also get the chance to work on a variety of strategically important projects and improve the quality of the management information pack.
This career defining role will involve:
-Working with stakeholders nationwide to support the seamless provision of management information.
-Playing a key support role in the month-end accounting process (P&L, balance sheet and fixed asset register).
-Supporting the transactional finance team with accounting issues and complex queries.
-Supporting the Head of Finance with system and process improvement.
-Supporting the Head of Finance with strategic data analysis projects.
What you will need to apply:
The business is interested in hearing from talented Assistant Accountants or Accounts Assistants who are AAT qualified or have embarked upon their professional accounting studies (CIMA or ACCA). Suitable applicants will also have first rate communication skills and be comfortable acting as the face of finance when dealing with operational stakeholders across the company. Moreover, those candidates who have a can-do attitude and enjoy a truly holistic finance role whereupon they touch every area of the accounting process up to trial balance, will be at a distinct advantage.
