Description

Working as the Assistant Management Accountant, key responsibilities will consist of the following:

  • Completion of month end journal preparation using the Management Information System, Accounts Payable and Billing Data from SAGE
  • End to End ownership of procurement Marketing Support reconciliations, which support journal processing at month end.
  • Responsibility for proactively chasing key suppliers to provide the correct MI, invoices and credit note information where applicable.
  • Preparation of several monthly reporting packs for Operations.
  • Assisting in preparing forecast information for review by the Commercial Finance managers.
  • Completion of the monthly processing of fuel transactions into the System
  • · Provide insight and resolution of fuel processing issues and queries, via liaison with internal fuel operational teams, IT support teams and fuel suppliers.
  • · Provide first line reconciliation, management information system and invoicing to customer of transactions. This includes month end output of fuel load data to customer and support of accrual process.
  • Supporting with ad-hoc requests from the Commercial Finance Managers.

Profile

The successful Assistant Management Accountant will be part qualified, studying towards their Accounting qualifications. They will be from a commercial accounting background.

They will also possess the following:

· Excellent excel skills with the ability to manipulate/interrogate large data sets.

· Experienced in understanding P&L statements.

· Good experience of the production of monthly reports.
