This is a newly created Financial Controller role for a dynamic and fast growing SME in Bicester. The role will be the number one in Finance, reporting to the MD and will involve strategy to grow the Business further.

The Business has grown rapidly YOY and have ambitious but realistic plans to grow further. The newly created Financial Controller position is pivotal to the Company achieving this objective.
Financial Controller - main purpose of the role is to ensure effective financial controls are in place within the business and to manage the transfer to a numbers based decision making environment.
Reporting to the MD the new FC will be a crucial member of the SLT and will manage the small finance team to ensure that the finance function leads the way in the further development of a successful business.
Duties and responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Take complete control and ownership of the finance and accounting function from data input, cash collection, procurement to preparing detailed reports and budgets with commentaries and management information on a weekly / monthly basis.
Provide monthly analysis and comparison of performance to annual budgets (Planned versus Actual)
Influencing managerial staff and other colleagues about budgets and costs
Help develop and manage financial systems / policies
Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure including cash flow management
Legislative Reporting incl VAT, EC Sales, Intrastat, CT, Audit
In time be responsible for pricing and be involved directly in customer meetings
Payroll, RTI, CIS
Oversee the payroll on a monthly basis.
HR compliance at a basic level
KPI's & Measures
Qualified accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
Experience with Logistics, FMCG or Manufacturing
