The Management Accountant position is an exciting opportunity to work within a rapidly growing healthcare communications business offering support with developing, evolving and bringing consistency to weekly & monthly management reporting across your portfolio and the wider finance community.

Client Details

My client is a global family of healthcare communications & market access practices specialising in infromatics & consulting working with 300+ healthcare brands and 90% of the world's top 40 pharmaceutical companies. They are now looking for a dynamic and driven Management Accountant to join their reporting team in Central London to help sustain their rapid growth and development.

Description

The Management Accountant will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for completing Month end with no material errors within reporting deadline
  • Support the Finance Manager (FM) in updating financial forecasts
  • To support with developing, evolving and bringing consistency to weekly & monthly management reporting across your portfolio and the wider finance community
  • To act as a key contact to the business and provide value add decision support and insight
  • Build strong relationships with business unit leads
  • Revenue control throughout your Portfolio
  • Responsibility for 2 to 3 business units (depending on experience)
  • Responsibility for working capital management
  • Cost management
  • Balance sheet ownership
  • Maintenance of revenue trackers including FX calculations, reconciliations to Data Valley (financial system) and code closures
  • Support the FC and FD through the external audit process
  • Monthly and weekly reporting - utilisation, working capital, timesheets and revenue

Profile

The successful Management Accountant:

  • Excellent Academic record with a degree from a top university
  • Part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA - study package to support)
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Experience of working in a business partnering role
  • Strong financial modelling skills in Excel
  • Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities with ability to work in a multi-currency environment
  • Competence in preparing management accounts including journal processing
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work at all levels in the organisation (from the least experienced to senior management)
