Position Summary
The Rory Meyers College of Nursing Post-Award Grant Office is recruiting a financial analyst to provide day-to-day financial administration and management support. The College has an active research portfolio of awards. This position will oversee budgets and facilitate financial transactions including payroll allocation and effort tracking; implement and assist with developing internal control procedures; provide analyses of grant budgets including discussions on prioritization and programmatic goals; preparation of monthly reconciliations and financial reports; provide guidance to the research community of the College on financial and administrative matters; partner and manage relationships with NYU research offices to ensure smooth workflows; apply and ensure departmental, institutional and federal compliance as applicable. This position will service as a backup for the Grant Administrator position as needed.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
3+ years relevant financial management experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with expense review, financial analysis and budget management.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in an academic/higher education setting. Experience with sponsored project financial management.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills including the ability to work independently and prioritize workflow. Familiarity with Windows-based software applications, and proficiency with database and spreadsheet software.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Presentation or training skills
