Corporate Finance Manager

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed companies has partnered with a great organization to recruit for a Corporate Finance Manager for their busy office located in Toronto. This is a contract position for 9 months ending April 2020.

The Role:

• Responsible for the fixed asset accounting process
• Reviewing work performed by the Fixed Asset Accountant, including fixed asset roll forwards and reconciliations, closing forms, and depreciation calculations
• Oversee a team of 2 Asset Accountants
• Manage accounting for pensions in SAP, preparing reconciliations of the pension accounts to actuarial valuation reports, working with actuaries and auditors to prepare the pension financial statements, preparing pension note disclosure for the publicly issued financial statements
• Also, preparing certain analyses/reports. Assist and help coordinate financial planning, including development of forecasts and annual corporate SG&A plan
• Support the Corporate Controller and other accounting team members in various ad-hoc reporting and analysis

The Ideal Candidate:

• CPA designated required
• 5 years+ of fixed asset accounting experience in a similar management capacity
• Intermediate to advance excel skills
• SAP proficiency considered an asset

Compensation: $45-50/hour.
