Senior Finance Analyst

DESCRIPTION
Amazon Logistics is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join the EU Planning and Supply Chain Finance team.
The successful candidate will act as Finance Business Partner for Amazon Logistics Operations supporting financial evaluations, planning and controlling for our EU last mile transportation network.
This role will work closely to finance and operations teams and will allow the successful candidate to have a direct impact on influencing the future of Amazon's world-class operations network.

The role will be a highly visible position providing insightful financial sensitivities and partnership to the On Road Operations business teams who are continually striving to innovate and provide best in class service levels through the introduction of pioneering new projects and services in the last mile delivery space.

Job responsibilities will include:

• Build and scope operational and financial metrics for Amazon Logistics On Road operations;

• Ensure operational and financial inputs are consistent, up-to-date and accurate;

• Support planning during the financial planning cycles;

• Build and conduct variance reporting against plan and previous period;

• Produce regular and ad hoc reports and evaluations;

• Monitor transportation expenditures versus forecasts and budgets and communicate issues to senior management;

• Facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with business managers to provide useful financial data for the evaluation of ideas.

• Develop and maintain efficient communication processes to ensure smooth and consistent flow of information between Amazon transportation owners within the EU and Seattle.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Educated to degree level
• 5+ years of work experience
• Prior finance experience, possibly in Operations Finance
• Modelling and business case evaluation experience
• Experience using, to create and consume, analytical tools; advanced computer literacy (Excel with VBA Macro and PowerPivot skills, Access); SQL

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Statistics, Maths, Science or other numeric based area
• Experience in large scale multinational business
• Experience partnering/working with non-finance teams
• Familiarity with forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics
